Role Summary

CHC Helicopter Service AS is seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Manager to join our team based in Stavanger/Sola.

 

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the Part-145 organisation in Norway and fulfils the responsibilities of the nominated EASA Part-145 Postholder, ensuring compliance with all requirements of the maintenance organisation approval and applicable regulations.

 

As a visible leader and role model, you will lead, develop, and motivate a highly skilled maintenance workforce across our Norwegian bases, driving a culture of safety, compliance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

  • Lead and develop a high-performing and engaged maintenance workforce.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, customer, and company requirements.
  • Fulfil the responsibilities of the nominated EASA Part-145 Postholder.
  • Promote and drive a strong safety culture across all maintenance operations.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient execution of aircraft maintenance activities.
  • Deliver operational readiness by maintaining aircraft availability in line with business requirements.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop employees to maximise performance and capability.
  • Foster effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure scheduled maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.
  • Work closely with Supply Chain teams to ensure the timely availability of parts, tooling, and resources.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence projects.
  • Monitor, manage, and achieve relevant operational and business KPIs.
  • Manage labour costs in line with approved budgets and business objectives.
  • Travel regularly between operational bases to ensure consistent standards and compliance.
  • Undertake any other duties reasonably required within the scope of the role.

Essential:

  • Ability to obtain approval from the Norwegian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) as an EASA Part-145 Postholder.
  • Strong working knowledge of EASA and Norwegian CAA regulations.
  • Proven leadership and people management experience within an aviation maintenance environment.
  • Strong technical understanding of aircraft maintenance practices, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
  • Experience leading teams through change and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build productive relationships across all levels of the organisation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both Norwegian and English.
  • Well-developed organisational, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound operational decisions under pressure.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
