Role Summary

CHC Helicopter Service AS is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Planner to join our Technical team based in Stavanger/Sola.

 

Reporting to Production Supervisor, this role supports Part-145 engineers and supervisors, in close collaboration with CAMO maintenance planning, ensuring effective coordination between short and long-term planning activities.

 

As a Production Planner, you will play a key role in maintaining aircraft availability and compliance by planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance tasks across your assigned fleet. Working as part of a global planning team, you will collaborate with colleagues across multiple locations and time zones to ensure alignment, promote best practices, and support continuous improvement initiatives that contribute to CHC’s operational excellence worldwide.

 

This is a full-time position, giving the successful candidate an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and highly skilled aviation organisation operating in a critical and rewarding area of the industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a detailed 14-day rolling maintenance plan and contribute to the 12-week rolling plan with the regional team. (this is subject to ongoing changes)
  • Create and manage maintenance work packages and associated work orders.
  • Prepare daily and bi-weekly maintenance plans for production activities.
  • Coordinate with Shift Supervisors to ensure maintenance schedules are aligned with available manpower and resources.
  • Liaise with the Regional Material Coordinator to ensure timely availability of tools, materials, and parts, including issuing pick slips for available components.
  • Monitor maintenance progress and adjust plans in response to operational requirements, resource constraints, or emerging priorities.
  • Align maintenance schedules with Flight Operations to minimize flight disruptions.
  • Lead weekly planning meetings with Production teams and participate in regional and global planning meetings.
  • Identify and escalate risks or constraints affecting maintenance execution.
  • Report on base maintenance status, material shortages, constraints, and RTS dates to key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with global planning team to improve planning processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by the Team Leader or Supervisor.

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

Qualifications

  • Experience in maintenance planning within aviation or another technically complex industry.
  • Experience working with CMMS Planning Software (preferably AMOS).
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with multiple departments and stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of technical documentation.
  • Strong IT skills, familiarity with MS Office Suite.
  • Previous experience within the aviation industry is an advantage.
