CHC Helicopter Service AS is seeking an experienced and motivated Technical Project Manager to join our team in Sola. This is an exciting internal opportunity for a candidate who enjoys leading complex technical projects and working collaboratively across the business to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality outcomes.

 

In this role, you will lead maintenance and modification projects across the helicopter fleet, ensuring effective coordination, timely delivery and continued operational readiness.

 

You will work across multiple departments to support airworthiness, operational availability and the successful delivery of technical project activities in line with company and regulatory requirements.

 

Working closely with CAMO, Maintenance, Planning, Fleet and other key stakeholders, you will manage large maintenance and engineering tasks, respond to operational priorities, resolve complex issues and provide clear progress updates across the organisation. The role also offers the opportunity to contribute to broader fleet and global project initiatives.

 

This position is based in Sola (Stavanger) and requires flexibility to travel domestically and internationally when needed to support project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Have project responsibility for project related to base Maintenance and modification projects.
  • Perform required follow-up between Part CAMO and responsible 145 organisation, supply chain and design organisations responsible for delivering parts and design.
  • Assist with tenders, get design proposal with pricing from suppliers.
  • Evaluate design solution/changes proposed.
  • Liaise with type engineer and design of proposed solutions.
  • Work on cost inputs to commercial department for proposed solutions in tender.
  • Prepare AFE propose PO for ordering of work from 3rd party and internal work.
  • Participate in planning and creation of SOW for work on aircraft controlled by Part CAMO.
  • Have discussions with Part 21 org for design and follow-up of delivers from them.
  • Follow-up of kits and parts for project he/she is responsible for.
  • Give financial inputs/update to financial team members.
  • Make regular KPI/status reports for projects he/she is assigned.
  • Respond to SQID reports assigned.

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

EDUCATION:

  • Within Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent practical experience in aviation maintenance and modification activities.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a project management role.
  • Experience with and knowledge of the AMOS system would be an advantage.
  • Previous experience in rotary or fixed-wing operations.

 

CERTIFICATIONS/SKILLS:  

  • Familiarisation course or skilled worker training on relevant aircraft types would be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative and proactive approach.
  • Confidence in working with and influencing internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate analysis into practical, detailed action plans.
  • A positive, can-do attitude and a strong focus on meeting business requirements.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic and multicultural environment.
