Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Continuing Airworthiness Manager (CAM) to lead the compliance, safety, and performance of our Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO).

 

Reporting to the Accountable Manager, this senior leadership role is responsible for ensuring full compliance with CASR Part 42, the Part 42 MOS, and the CHC CAME, while providing strategic oversight of the continuing airworthiness and maintenance control of all aircraft operated under the AOC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and champion safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee all continuing airworthiness and maintenance control activities.
  • Ensure CAMO compliance with CASR Part 42 and CHC policies.
  • Manage CAMO resources, performance, and budgets.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing airworthiness team.
  • Oversee maintenance planning, defect management, MEL compliance, and AD/SB compliance.
  • Engage and monitor Part 145 maintenance organisations.

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

  • At least 3 years’ experience in continuing airworthiness management of aircraft.
  • At least one of the following qualifications:
    • A current or previously held B1, B2, or C aircraft engineer licence (or equivalent),
    • A Certificate IV qualification in aircraft maintenance,
    • A Diploma in aviation maintenance management,
    • A Diploma-level engineering qualification in aeronautical, avionics, mechanical, electrical, or electronics engineering.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of regulations and standards governing aircraft airworthiness under the AOC.
  • Knowledge of the CAMO’s exposition.
  • Knowledge of relevant parts of the AOC holder’s operations manual with continuing airworthiness implications.
  • Knowledge of the CAMO’s quality system.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex operations in a safety‑critical aviation environment.
  • Eligibility for acceptance by the Regulatory Authority.
