Role Summary

We are seeking a high-energy, commercially astute Commercial Operations Manager to play a pivotal role in driving growth across our Emerging Markets portfolio. This is a highly visible role for someone who thrives in complex, fast-moving environments and enjoys owning end-to-end commercial processes.

You will act as the central commercial lead for bids, tenders, RFPs, RFIs, and pre-qualification submissions, working independently while collaborating closely with senior internal stakeholders and customers across multiple geographies.

This role can be based anywhere in the UK and offers significant exposure to strategic growth markets, senior leadership, and future career progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute commercial departmental processes and management systems for Emerging Markets to ensure alignment with corporate policies and procedures.

  • Act as the primary contact to the customer and internally for the tender process within Emerging Markets.

  • Manage the tender/proposal process from the initiation to the final submission including contract handover for Emerging Markets opportunities.

  • Respond to Customers requests in compliance with corporate guidelines and within customer’s required timelines.

  • Proactively collaborate with various departments and subject matter experts such as Legal, Risk Management, Tax, Finance, Operations, and Technical Services during a bid process for development of a comprehensive response in compliance with customer requested scope.

  • Support Financial Planning & Analysis in the preparation of costing models to meet revenue guidelines as mandated by the corporate business plan for Emerging Markets bids.

  • Manage customer leads and opportunities in the CRM System to ensure accuracy of regional opportunity pipeline for Emerging Markets to facilitate revenue forecasting and budgeting.

  • Responsible for the communication of general information by producing and distributing a variety of reports / communiqués to internal and external customers such as contract summaries and tender approval presentations.

  • Manage a large volume of conventional and electronic information including template documentation; costing information and contracts, ensuring information meets audit standards.

  • Communicate effectively with all levels of internal/external stakeholders regarding tenders, contracts, and current negotiations within Emerging Markets.

  • In support of professional development, manage customer accounts, under mentorship of the Commercial Director, in the pursuit of new sales conversions .

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements for health, safety and environment within the department.

  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Economics or Commerce or equivalent industry experience.
  • Relevant experience within a Business Development, Sales and Customer Service environment experience.
  • Experience in the aviation industry with application to business development, sales, contract administration and/or marketing desirable.
  • Sales experience in a national and international Oil and Gas Industry an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills strongly.
  • Sufficient working knowledge of contract terms and conditions an asset.
  • Ability to negotiate effectively with a variety of internal and external customers.
  • High level of numerical analysis skills and the ability to articulate clear conclusions and recommendations an asset.
  • Ability to handle complex issues and provide recommendations for solutions.
  • Ability to multitask in a rapidly changing, fast-paced, high volume environment.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and as a part of a highly-interactive team.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel globally as required and flexibility with working hours to support a global organisation.
