Role Summary

The Stores Supervisor reports to the Senior Manager Regional Supply Chain and is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the stores and inventory management across all Forwarding Stock Locations (FSL) and operational bases in the APAC region. This role ensures that materials, tools and equipment are received, stored and shipped efficiently, accurately and in full compliance with company policies and safety standards.

 

The role has accountability for the leadership, performance, capability development and rostering of stores personnel across all APAC operational bases, ensuring adequate coverage, compliance and consistent standards of operation across the region.

 

Additionally, the Stores Supervisor will require interaction with Maintenance teams and Global Supply chain, liaising with Trade Compliance, Global Logistics, internal and external auditors.

 

Frequent travel across the APAC region is required to support base personnel, ensure operational continuity, and manage base start-up and closure activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule rostering of FSL and base teams, managing leave / sickness coverage at all locations within the region.
  • Lead and oversee all APAC Stores personnel to meet the operational demands of the business, and managing workflow, quality and performance to maximize efficiencies including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service.
  • Establish, monitor and report on key performance indicators for receiving and shipping to ensure targets are being hit.
  • Provide direct leadership to FSL and base stores teams, including training, mentoring and performance management to achieve operational excellence and manage completion of regulatory training courses.
  • Book external training courses where required.
  • Ensure global policies and procedures are adhered to for Receiving/Warehousing/Shipping.
  • Provide regular reporting to the Senior Manager Regional Supply chain with overview of warehousing KPI’s, issues, improvement initiatives, project management.
  • Meet regularly with FSL and base stores team to review performance, analyze trends, and develop and implement actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention.
  • Oversee the inspection, maintenance and serviceability of warehouse equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, ensuring assets remain safe, compliant and fit for purpose.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to coordinate the recruitment of new warehouse positions.
  • Adhere to regulatory requirements storage (ESD, shelf live, calibrations, dark room, quarantine, scrap, chemical cages).
  • Travel frequently to bases / Forwarding Stock Locations (FSL) across APAC region to provide training, roster coverage, base start up and base closures.
  • Follow Global Purchasing Policy for purchase of general warehousing equipment and materials.
  • Conduct and oversee regular audits, cycle counts and inventory reviews to maintain inventory accuracy and support internal and external audit requirements.

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

Essential

  • Demonstrated experience leading and supervising operational teams across multiple locations, including rostering, performance management, training and day-to-day people leadership.
  • At least three (3) years’ experience in logistics, inventory control and/or analysis with supervisory experience.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles, processes and strategies.
  • Strong computer skills, including advanced Excel capability, and experience in logistics software.
  • Sound knowledge of inventory management, freight and logistics operations, including experience within the APAC region and/or parts analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong people‑leadership capability.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong planning, time-management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate in a diverse, fast‑paced environment.
  • Understanding of Safety and Compliance requirements in a warehouse environment.
  • Knowledge of International Shipping Regulations and Trade Compliance.

 

Desirable

  • Experience within the rotary wing industry.
  • Knowledge of relevant Material Safety Data procedures.
  • Knowledge and experience in using AMOS software.
