Role Summary

CHC Helicopters Netherlands B.V. operates from Den Helder Base, the main heliport for the Dutch energy sector in the North Sea area (North Sea Area Amsterdam – NSAA). Den Helder Base operates a fleet of AW139 and AW189 helicopters, primarily transporting passengers for the offshore oil & gas and wind energy industries.

 

CHC Helicopters Netherlands B.V. currently has an open position for a Flight Operations Officer / Flight Dispatcher (FOO / FD) to join our Integrated Operations Centre (IOC) team based at Den Helder Base.

 

Purpose of the Role
The FOO / FD plays a key role in supporting safe, focused, and efficient flight operations in direct collaboration with the Integrated Operations Centre (IOC). The position ensures optimal utilization of available capacity to meet contractual obligations in the most efficient way possible.

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

Job Requirements

  • Minimum MBO 4+ (intermediate vocational education) level of education

  • Demonstrable recent experience and/or relevant aviation training with knowledge of applicable operational laws and regulations. Expected areas of knowledge include:

    • EASA and national aviation regulations (e.g., AIP, WRR)

    • ICAO / IATA Dangerous Goods regulations

    • Company operational manuals

    • Helicopter performance and limitations across various types

    • Meteorology

    • Radio communication

    • Client communication
