CHC has a current opportunity for a bright and enthusiastic team member to join our Karratha base as a Ramp Assistant on a fixed term basis up to 30th June 2026. Reporting to the Base Manager, the position will ensure the efficient, secure and cost-effective operation of all ramps-related duties at the base.

 

Important: This position is open only to applicants who currently reside in Karratha.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to corporate CHC Health, Safety and Environment & Quality Policy and all other company policies.
  • Preparation of aircraft cabin prior to flight and after flights.
  • Provide assistance to engineers on aircraft departures and arrivals.
  • Maintain housekeeping, cleanliness and safety standards within the Base hangar.
  • Carry out forklift duties as required (forklift licence preferred but not essential).
  • Refueling of aircraft - including rotors running refueling.

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

To be successful in this role you will require the following:

  • Ability to obtain and hold an ASIC card.
  • A current Forklift licence (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and under supervision.
  • Ability to work in a small team.
  • Positive and can-do attitude approach.
  • Aviation-related operational experience or experience in a similar role will be viewed favourably.
