CHC Helicopter has a rare opportunity for a Stores person / Ramp Assistant to join the team at our new Mungalalu-Truscott base of Operations.

 

The role is a permanent full-time opportunity, requiring the successful candidate to reside in Broome and fly in and out of Mungalalu-Truscott base of Operations on a 15/13 roster.  Reporting to the Base Manager and Stores supervisor, the Stores Person / Ramp Assistant will ensure the efficient, secure and cost effective operation of stores and ramp related duties at the Mungalalu-Truscott Base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to corporate CHC Health, Safety and Environment & Quality Policy and all other company policies;
  • Catalogue and label storage details on items ensuring all goods received conform with regulatory and company policies;
  • Process and complete orders including selection and issue of parts;
  • Process the return of goods back to stock;
  • Binning/replenishing;
  • Assisting with stocktakes;
  • Updating Company maintenance system AMOS as required;
  • Maintaining housekeeping, cleanliness and safety standards to ensure the store area and Hanger is in a presentable condition;
  • Refuelling of Aircraft, including hot refuelling;
  • Assist with departures and arrivals, including towing of Helicopter, freight and baggage handling; and
  • Maintain passenger safety equipment.

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

  • An ability to obtain and hold an ASIC card;
  • Possess 1-2 years current or previous warehousing experience;
  • Highly organised and detail oriented;
  • Demonstrable ability to multitask in a busy environment;
  • Strong customer service skills;
  • Good computer skills;
  • A Current Forklift license is required;
  • AMOS experience or similar is desirable;
  • Dangerous goods and WHIMIS training an advantage;
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills;
  • A positive team oriented approach;
  • Flexible and Adaptable approach to meet business demands.
