Role Summary

As a leader and role model you will direct, develop and motivate a skilled team in Den Helder. With your leadership, they’ll deliver a world-class professional engineering and maintenance operation managing the Maintenance for CHC Netherlands Part 145 Organisation. You will also champion collaboration across the whole of our business. You will work with the Operations Director NL to improve, standardise and implement processes and procedures across CHC. Every day, you will deliver the highest levels of performance - from quality standards to customer satisfaction and commercial objectives. Safety will be a priority. You’ll promote and maintain safe, secure work practices and housekeeping. In everything your team does, you will strive for continuous improvement and the most efficient use of resources. You’ll inspire and support your team to constantly improve. In addition to the strong bond you have with your people, you’ll forge excellent working relationships with stakeholders, partners, trade unions and customers.

 

You will demonstrate a proven ability to identify, lead and empower change in a complex operational environment within a multi-site operation. You will require to have both technical engineering and leadership qualifications. Demonstrate strong working knowledge of engineering systems and processes, health and safety legislation and practice, and team management. Your excellent communication skills and ability to engage and influence others will really set you apart.

Key Responsibilities

The Accountable Manager has delegated full executive responsibilities for Part-145 affairs to the Maintenance Manager, who must ensure that: 

  • All maintenance carried out by the Approved Maintenance Organisation meets the standards required by EASA, CAA-NL, CHC and its customers.
  • Full compliance with all applicable health, environmental, safety and security requirements, as well as related legislation.
  • The Company’s MOE is maintained, updated and published in a way that ensures full compliance with the requirements of EASA, CAA-NL, CHC and customers, and that all maintenance procedures are readily available.
  • The necessary resources (competent personnel, facilities, procedures, maintenance data, tools, equipment, parts, materials, etc.) are available to plan, perform, supervise, inspect and certify all maintenance.
  • Aircraft are safe, available and meet operational on-time performance requirements.
  • Maintenance planning supports both short-term and long-term customer maintenance requirements.
  • Corrective and preventive actions arising from internal and external audits are satisfactorily addressed and closed on time.
  • Coaching and development of the workforce to maintain high performance.
  • Effective coordination with Supply Chain to ensure timely availability of parts, tooling and other materials.

Identification and follow-up of training requirements.

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

Qualifications

  • Legal right to live and work in the Netherlands
  • Eligible to hold Nominated Person Part-145 (Form 4) within 3–6 months
  • Licensed helicopter engineer preferred
  • Working knowledge of EASA regulations (Part-M, Part-CAMO, Part-145, Part-66, and national regulations)
  • Preferably familiar with AMOS Maintenance Systems

 

Skills

  • Leadership and management skills with relevant training
  • Knowledge of maintenance execution best practices (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Management)
  • Strong organizational, planning, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Effective communicator with credibility and strong interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written)
  • Ability to deliver results and meet deadlines
