Who we are

Offshore Services Australasia (OSA) is the leading supplier of helicopters services to the Australian Offshore industry. We operate multiple helicopter types from several bases throughout Australia and Timor Leste providing support to several major oil and gas producers.

 

About the role

An opportunity exists for an Operations Officer to join our Offshore Operations team in a full-time touring position. Reporting to the Flight Operations Manager (Offshore), you will work as part of a local team to provide support to ensure efficient and effective base operations. Additionally, you will work on a 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off roster or 15 days on 13 days off and be available to work on-call as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the completion of the daily flying program
  • Ensure base operations/flight planning rooms are supplied with necessary equipment, publications, displays and information for Aircrew, Engineers, and Operations staff
  • Compile daily reports and collect daily/weekly contract statistics for the base
  • Collaboratively work with other OSA Departments at a base level, to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the operation
  • Liaise with our clients daily to assist with maximizing flight scheduling and providing a safe and efficient operation
  • Ensure the base radio facilities are serviceable prior to the commencement of the daily flying program

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • An Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate (AROC)
  • Knowledge of Offshore Aviation Emergency Response procedures
  • Experience with Flight Following procedures
  • Strong interpersonal, decision making and communication skills and customer centric approach
  • The ability to work as part of an effective team, maintaining adaptability and a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Aviation and Offshore Operations experience is highly desirable
