Role Summary

CHC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Planner to join our Technical Operations team at our base in Stavanger/Sola.
This position supports both Part-145 maintenance production planning and CAMO maintenance planning, ensuring seamless coordination between short and long-term planning activities.

 

You will play a key role in maintaining aircraft availability and compliance by planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance tasks across your assigned fleet.
As part of a global planning team, you also will collaborate across multiple locations and time zones to ensure alignment, consistent planning standards and continuous improvement to support CHC’s operational excellence worldwide.

This role reports to: Technical Operations Planning Team Leader

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a detailed 14-day rolling maintenance plan and contribute to the 12-week rolling plan with the regional team.
  • Create and manage work packages, associate work orders. Prepare daily/bi-weekly maintenance plans for production.
  • Coordinate with shift supervisors to align manpower with maintenance schedules.
  • Liaise with the Regional Material Coordinator to ensure tools, materials and parts availability. Issue pick-slips for available parts.
  • Monitor and adjust plans based on operational needs and resource availability.
  • Align maintenance schedules with Flight Operations to minimize flight disruptions.
  • Lead weekly planning meetings with production and participate in regional/global planning meetings.
  • Track and schedule defect rectifications (A, B, C, D categories) and support long-term modification and heavy maintenance planning.
  • Identify and escalate risks or constraints affecting maintenance execution.
  • Report on base maintenance status, material shortages, constraints, and RTS dates to key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with global planning team to improve planning processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by the Team Leader.

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

Qualifications

  • Experience of planning maintenance in aviation or other technical industry.
  • Experience using CMMS Planning Software (preferably AMOS).
  • Experience of liaising with other departments to ensure collaboration and management of expectations.
  • Understanding of technical documentation
  • Good IT skills, familiarity with MS Office Suite.
  • Experience from Aviation Industry is an advantage.
