CHC Helicopter is a leader in the provision of helicopter support to the offshore energy market, search & rescue, and government departments, as well as organizations requiring helicopter maintenance, repair and overhaul services through its Heli-One division.

We have an incredible opportunity for a person who has recently completed a Project Management degree with a minimal of a one year’s experience, to join our team at CHC Helicopters. The Project Lead is for a 12-month Fixed Term period at our office in West Perth. You’ll have the opportunity to project manage the startup of new bases, the implementation of new aircraft into service and the integration of multiple systems that support the integration of multiple departments. The successful individual will engage and support the business leaders in the Australian Operations of the implementation, delivery, and management of highly integrated project teams.

As the Project Lead, you will be at the forefront of the implementation of a variety of projects that will provide success to the integration of different business units, provide insights and advice to local business leaders and ensure projects are delivered on time

Your duties will include:

  • Project change management for key business issues (e.g. training & communications plans, risk assessment, project management for: maintenance, technical records, accounting and flight safety data)
  • Liaison between the CHC Integrated Management Office, standards organization and functional departments, to institutionalise process improvement and transformation activities
  • Mentoring CHC functional teams based on analytical insights and research
  • Presenting recommendations that are intuitive and impactful
  • Leading team discussions with internal clients and project leads to drive projects forward
  • Collaboratively evaluate best practice initiatives 

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes:

 

The ideal candidate should process:

  • A degree in project management with analytical study in either Commerce, Engineering or Finance.
  • Strong business acumen with experience in understanding the processes in re-engineering, change management and/or project management.
  • A high degree of confidence, tenacity and a passion to succeed
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multi-tasking environment, meet deadlines, and work with a wide range of sensitive and confidential issues.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint; SQL considered an asset.
  • Experience in working within agile, complex, dynamic and diverse business environment.
  • Must be well organised and adaptable to rapidly changing and dynamic environment.
  • Hands on approach with a drive for success is imperative.
  • Experience in working in a global matrix structure to achieve project goals is ideal.
