    Role Summary

    This is a global communications generalist role that will help shape and execute the company’s communications strategy through internal communications, digital and marketing communications, media relations, and crisis response. The position will be part of a global center of excellence for corporate and digital communications. The role reports to the Senior Director of Global Corporate Communications, and will have direct and frequent interaction with CHC’s business leaders. The Communications Specialist will work closely with, provide guidance and support to CHC’s communications team and colleagues around the world. This individual also works with people outside the company including senior executives, public relations and marketing firms.

    • Use communications to promote an understanding of CHC’s purpose and strategy
    • Support advancement and defense of, CHC’s reputation with multiple audiences
    • Develop and execute communications plans and tactics that engage and inspire audiences
    • Manage CHC’s social media and digital channels for internal and external communications including the CHC website, intranet and social media channels
    • Work proactively to prioritize, plan, execute and measure communications initiatives
    • Assist with the development of announcements, execution of strategic media relations, and support implementation of employee engagement initiatives
    • Generate purposeful content for use in a variety of communications channels
    • Research, write, edit and coordinate communications materials including press releases, talking points, speeches, presentations and articles
    • Act with urgency to drive results swiftly and effectively, with meticulous attention to detail
    • Demonstrate calm, confidence and agility in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
    • Work collaboratively with all functions and regions of the world – CHC colleagues, suppliers, partners and others

    Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

    •  
    • Bachelor’s degree, ideally in communications, journalism or marketing
    • 3+ years of increasingly challenging and successful experience in corporate communications, media relations, digital communications and/or employee communications
    • Demonstrated success in managing web-based communications
    • Hands on experience working with SharePoint, Igloo, website content management systems, Google Analytics and social media platforms
    • Aviation experience is helpful, but not required
