    Role Summary

    We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HUMS engineer. You will have responsibility for supporting the Hums activities for the Global operations of CHC.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Responsible to the HUMS Manager, the HUMS Engineer will have responsibility for supporting the HUMS activities for the Global operations of CHC.
    • The HUMS Engineer will function within a team, involved in assisting CHC’s maintenance organisations in the continued airworthiness of the HUMS equipped aircraft.
    • The position requires compliance with technical regulations(Multiple Regulatories used for global operation) and will involve continued interaction between all areas of the organisation as well as the external HUMS support providers.
    • Maintenance, Setup and Support of HUMS GSC and associated ground equipment.
    • Liaising with Engineering staff to provide technical recommendations in relation to HUMS alerts – in conjunction with OEM and system support providers.
    • Implementation of system upgrades, as and when directed.
    • Maintenance, Setup and Support of FDR replay equipment.
    • Assistance in meeting company HUMS regulatory compliance requirements.
    • Assistance in evaluation of airworthiness directive, service bulletins or service letters related to HUMS, as required.
    • Periodic data management and integrity reviews.
    • Carrying out HUMS related training on behalf of the company, as and when required.
    • International travel may be required.
    • May perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

    •  The ideal candidate should have previous dynamics or vibration analysis experience whether it be aviation related or otherwise. Applications will also be considered from candidates with an Engineering related degree or diploma.

     

    • The successful applicant will need to take an interest in, and have experience of, dynamic components, vibration analysis and trend monitoring. As all analysis and trend monitoring is computer based, applicants need to have a sound knowledge of, and take an interest in, data technology. Applicants should have an analytical mind, possess good co-operative capability and be able to perform independently.
